The Attendance Assistance Program is
dedicated to helping truant students
stay in school, decrease daily
absenteeism, decrease the number of
discipline referrals, improve academic
performance and increase participation
in extracurricular activities.
The program has been suspended due to state funding issues.
Attendance Assistance Program
Specialists have worked in cooperation with
Regional Offices of Education, schools,
students, families, community service
agencies and the criminal justice system
throughout Will, Kendall and Grundy
Counties to remove barriers that keep
children and adolescents from attending
school.
Homeless
Liaison Program
Education Service Network is responsible
for providing homeless liaison services
in Grundy and Kendall Counties.
The Homeless Liaison Program
provides training and technical
assistance to all school districts in
the two counties and assists community
service providers in the implementation
of the U.S. McKinney-Vento Homeless
Education Assistance Act (part of the No
Child Left Behind Act) and the Illinois
Education for Homeless Children Act (IEHCA).
